Dušan Vasiljević returns to Újpest!

Dušan Vasiljević returns to Újpest after one and a half years! Our club confirmed the signing of the 29 years old midfielder on Tuesday morning- can be read on the official website of Videoton.

New Togolese midfielder in Újpest

According to the official website of the Belgian Standard Liége - which is owned by Roderick Duchatelet’s father, Roland Duchatelet - Henri Eninful, the 19-year-old Togolese midfielder is going on a loan to Újpest in spring. Eninful received an opportunity only in the reserve team but he also got the chance to play in the Europa League. Our team's coach, Zoran Spišljak has also confirmed the news.

Zoltán Takács goes on loan to Vasas too

Not only Bence Szabó and Tamás Rubus but Zoltán Takács will also be among the new players of Vasas, after they have signed the contracts. Vasas loans them for a half year from Újpest– announced the offcial website of Vasas FC. According to our club's report, it is not official yet, as a definitive agreement was not born between the two halves yet.

Duo go on loan to Vasas until the end of the season

Tamás Rubus and Bence Szabó, two young players, are going to spend the rest of the season at Vasas, another Budapest-based club. The news were confirmed by Vasas head coach and former Újpest-player, Flórián Urbán to Nemzeti Sport.. He added that Zoltán Takács, the defender who is currently out of favour at Megyeri út, is also likely to join their ranks this winter.

Lipták selected for Hungary

The Hungarian national team's next friendly game is due on 29th February, in two weeks time. Sándor Egervári  announced the squad which is going to play against Bulgaria in Győr. The only Újpest-player on the list is Zoltán Lipták, but Ádám szalai (FSV Mainz 05), a former player of us is back again, too, after a long injury.

Újpest FC - Volyn Lutsk 1-2

On Sunday Újpest played its third pre-season match in Belek, Turkey. The opponent was an Ukranian Premier Legaue-side, which currently occupies the 12th place after 20 rounds in that league. Zoran Szplisjak selected the following starting eleven for the match: Balajcza – Szokol, Lipták, Mihajlovics, Fodor – Proesmans, Nagy P. – Simon, Barczi, Remili – Zamostny. During the first half we could take the lead when Remili scored from the penalty spot, but after the break the Ukranians could easily turn around the game, thus ensuring the victory.

Belek Open: managerial team wins the trophy!

It seemed that the Opposite Day was held in Belek, Turkey, because while the staff was trying to give their best on the pitch, the players just stood around the field. That night the managers and other members of the staff took the lead role at a short tournament organised by Mátyás Imre and Mihály Szűcs. Every team training in Turkey, except DVSC, representated themselves and the Újpest staff even won the trophy, grabbing seven points in four matches. 

Changes in the management

The website of nb1.hu confirmed the information which earlier claimed that, István Csehi , the executive director has resigned from his position. He said that the reason of his resignation was that the Belgian owners delegated him with the task of firing Károly Nemes (communications director), the finance director and his secretary. After completing this task, he decided to leave, as well.

Duchatelet: "I think about this as a long-term investment"

Roderick Duchatelet, the club president spoke about his opinion on the stadium, the player policy, the youth team and many other topics during a press conference on Friday. He also announced that dr. Eszter Gyarmati will take over most of the responsibilities of Filips Dhondt, the former co-general manager, who is now working at AS Monaco.

Takács could leave for the right price

Experienced defender, Zoltán Takács has been training with the second team after the management put him out of the first team squad. The situation hasn't changed at all since then. Despite that he scored twice during pre-season matches in the B team, Takács couldn't reclaim his place, so the press suggests that he is likely to leave Újpest soon.

Diósgyőr wanted to sign up Lipták

Hunor Dudás, the manager of Diósgyőr told Nemzeti Sport that they wanted to sign up three Hungarian national players - among them the 27 years old defender of Újpest, Lipták Zoltán - but they did not reach the stage even of negotiating.

Vermes: I will be ready for the spring season

It was almost a year ago when Krisztián Vermes suffered a grave knee-injury. Since then he has been working on his comeback, which is pretty close now. The 26-year-old defender told us that if everything goes as planned, he should be able to play against Siófok in the spring opening match.

Our team does not lay claim to Attila Széki in the future, the 22 years old forward leaves Megyeri út and presumably continues his career in a lower league. He was only 17 years old when he first played in the colours of our team in the first league. After the match against MTK another five appearances followed in the frontline while he received a role mainly in Újpest FC B.
