Belek Open: managerial team wins the trophy!

It seemed that the Opposite Day was held in Belek, Turkey, because while the staff was trying to give their best on the pitch, the players just stood around the field. That night the managers and other members of the staff took the lead role at a short tournament organised by Mátyás Imre and Mihály Szűcs. Every team training in Turkey, except DVSC, representated themselves and the Újpest staff even won the trophy, grabbing seven points in four matches.

Belek Open, where the manager staffs test their football skills, was won by Újpest this year. Hungarian teams, which are preparing for the next season in Turkey usually attend this soon-to-be-traditional tournament. Our team's line-up was: Károly Nemes, Zoran Szpisljak, Marc Leliévre, Tamás Mezei, Zsolt Korga, Kálmán Tóth, Gábor Egervári (the son of the Hungarian XI's manager, he was also voted as the MVP of the tournament). It was a close run for the title, since the team of Győr finished second only because of their worse goal difference. Paks finished third ahead of MTK and DVTK, respectively.

Now it is the players turn to win the cup!
